We are happy to expand the EPIC Center Library web page to include a full inventory of all of our books.  The inventory is by category (matching the shelf labels in the library) and then further alphabetically sorted by the author’s last name.  We hope you will find the inventory helpful in both learning the breadth of what is available and in locating specific books.

We want to say thanks to Ed and Stephanie Deitz and the CSI Sunday School Class for inventorying the books and entering them in the Excel program.  This took over 8 weeks, and represents many hours of hard work on the part of the class.

What is Fan into Flame?
Fan into Flame is the capital fundraising campaign endorsed by the 2004 Synodical Convention that will secure $100 million in new money (over and above current World Mission budget) to help reach the Ablaze! goals. The first major campaign of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod in 25 years, Fan into Flame will touch all districts and congregations, helping all Lutherans take a quantum leap in their ability to minister to the lost. These funds will assist in revitalizing congregations, developing programs to empower the laity, calling additional missionaries for work in national and international mission fields, and planting new ministries at home and abroad.

Several information meetings have been scheduled to share more details with Calvary members. Check the calendar for a day and time that works best for you. 

Responding to increasing concerns about the spread of H1N1 Flu and other seasonal flu viruses, Spiritual Care has directed the suspension of the Common Cup and "Sharing the Peace" at all our services.  This issue will be revisited again in early 2010 to determine if these precautions are still necessary.  In addition, the pastors, communion assistants, and ushers preparing the Communion Service will be instructed on proper hand sanitation prior to handling the Articles of Communion.
