FULLY COMMITTED
Commit to the LORD whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. (Proverbs 16:3)
“It is FINISHED!”
These words bring about a sense of completion and accomplishment. If you are a list maker it is so gratifying to cross off items when finished. Imagine the completeness when Jesus cried on the cross on Good Friday, “IT IS FINISHED.” God’s long promised plan of salvation was now complete. Jesus paid the sacrificial price for all mankind to once more be restored and be presented to God as righteous. Through faith we stand and rejoice in those words of Christ.
Yet we are not finished. God has called us each to proclaim His Word to the nations. We begin doing that by equipping the students of Calvary Lutheran Church and School with teaching from His Word. The seeds planted in faith through the power of the Holy Spirit are nurtured and grow. Generation after generation shares those words of forgiveness, grace, peace, hope, and love. We walk by faith and not by sight as we answer the Lord’s Calling. Tomorrow is Good Friday. We remember the suffering death of Jesus restoring us to the perfection that the Father demands. Easter will be here on Sunday. The tomb is empty. Rejoice and sing! Alleluia.
