Not a Shadow of a Doubt

PART of HIS STORY
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of the darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

Not a Shadow of a Doubt

Will Punxsutawney Phil see his shadow on February 2 and scurry back into his warm den, or will he remain outside? The myth is that winter’s duration will be determined by a ground hog. Look at any calendar and see that the Vernal Equinox is on March 20, 2023. The weather that we may experience may not match the season. But there is not a shadow of a doubt that God has created and still preserves an orderly creation for us. So orderly that the seasons and eclipses are precisely known and recorded decades into the future.

We will experience a total solar eclipse over Indianapolis on April 8, 2024. The totality will begin at 3:07 PM and last for a duration of 3 minutes and 51 seconds. The entire eclipse will last for 2 hours 33 minutes. Indianapolis has not had a total solar eclipse for 819 years.

There is also not a shadow of a doubt that God sent Jesus to Calvary’s cross to redeem all people. Jesus’ death and resurrection opens heaven’s gate to all believers. Of this there is no doubt. We are Part of His Story. God has called us to spread the Good News of His salvation. Let us joyfully share this in word and deeds with one another and our community.
