Worship

Kids in Worship

We love to welcome kids into worship, so bring them along!

Children's Messages are included at most of our worship services, so that kids receive an age-appropriate message.

Activity Bags are available at each of the doors to the sanctuary.

If you are worried about your kids being disruptive, we have two spaces available to help you participate in worship:

  1. The north half of our lobby has windows into the sanctuary. Speakers throughout the lobby allow you to not just view, but hear the service as well.
  2. Our Nursery is located next to the north entry doors (Door 1), and is open for your use. The TV in the nursery connects you to the live worship, so you don't need to miss a beat!

Parking

Feel free to park in either our north or south parking lot. Both give full access to the facility and are fully Accessible.

  • For Worship, enter through Door 1 on the north side or Door 3 on the south side.
  • For the School Office, enter through Door 4 on the south side.
  • For athletic events, enter through Door 2 on the north side.

What to Wear

From flip-flops to wingtips, we have it all.

Some dress up to honor God; some prefer to be relaxed and casual.
God meets us where we are no matter what we wear.

We want you in worship, so wear what you are comfortable in!

Welcome to Calvary Lutheran Church & School!

Virtual Tour Video

Calvary Lutheran Church and School lives under the cross of Christ. From the five crosses that hang in the heart of Calvary’s sanctuary, to those found on the walls of our Christian Day School, our members, students, families, and staff are constantly reminded of the good news that we are saved by Jesus’ death and resurrection, because He loves us.

It is a blessing to live each day under the cross of Christ. We pray that here you are empowered by God to share this Good News of Jesus Christ at home, church, school and around the world.

Membership

“For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13a).

We are so glad that you are interested in finding out more about becoming a part of Calvary Lutheran Church and School.  Whatever your faith background, we are excited to come alongside you in your walk with Christ Jesus our Lord. We pray that our ministries will help you grow in your faith through worship, study of God's Word, stewardship, serving others and becoming a part of God the Father’s mission to spread the good news of forgiveness and new life in His Son, Jesus.

We want you to get involved, but more importantly, we want you to feel connected and engaged in God’s mission. Twice a year—typically starting in January and August—we offer a class called “Foundations of Faith” for adults interested in knowing more about and possibly becoming a part of our congregation and its ministries.  This class meets for 6 sessions during the Sunday education hour (9:20 a.m.). For those with children, our nursery is staffed during class time for children under 3 years old and Sunday school classes are available for children preschool (3 year old) through high school.

What is the “Foundations of Faith” class?

The purpose of “Foundations of Faith” class is to:

  • Answer questions you may have about the Christian faith, Calvary, and its ministries
  • Deepen your faith in Christ and His promises
  • Discuss how faith in Jesus applies to your life in practical and helpful ways
  • Strengthen your understanding of the Lutheran Church
  • Meet other new members and Calvary volunteers, making new connections to our community

Upon completing the class, there is no obligation to become a member of Calvary, but those desiring to do so will be received into membership during a Sunday morning service along with a special new member breakfast preceding the worship service.

If you have any questions or desire to become a member or to be a part of one of these classes, please fill out the form below, or contact Kara Hiatt at 317-783-2000. You are also able to share your contact information and interest in becoming a member in the red Fellowship Pad at the end of each aisle at our weekly worship services.

Is THAT in the Bible???

I like peculiar things. Well, to be more precise, I like the peculiar things in the Bible that we don’t often read. Maybe it’s the excitement of learning something new, maybe it’s the fun of sharing weird stories with others, or maybe I’m just a...
