The Psalmist declares, “God is our refuge and our strength, a very present help in times of trouble” Psalm 46:1. Through the years, God’s people have cried out to Him for rescue and for shelter from the trials and troubles of life. Our God is not far off. He has come very near to us in the person of Jesus. He knows our grief and our pain and he has come to win the victory for us. Despite our circumstances, we proclaim that God is with us and he is our fortress.
