Thanksgiving Boxes &
Operation Christmas Child

Thanksgiving Baskets

Thank you for helping us fill 22 baskets this year. There was truly an outpouring of generosity as you can see in these pictures how much food was donated. These "baskets" will truly be a blessing to those in our congregation, school and community.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes

Thank you to all those who participated in Operation Christmas Child. Calvary packed 90 shoeboxes filled with goodies and necessities. These are sent to Samaritan's Purse and then around the world. Thank you for a great response.

Christmas Giving Trees

Giving Opportunities this Chirstmas Season

Calvary India Mission Giving Tree

Having difficulty coming up with Christmas gift ideas for family and friends? Stop by the Narthex from now thru the month of December to select a tag from the Calvary India Mission giving tree. Gifts support students at our centers in Ambur, India. Gifts of a variety of values will be available.

Christmas Gifts for Children of Lutherwood

The Compassion Ministry Team invites you to join us in providing Christmas gifts for the children of Lutherwood. Lutherwood is part of the ministry of Lutheran Child and Family Services of Indiana/Kentucky.

It is a residential treatment center that serves boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 21 who are recovering from the effects of abuse, neglect, abandonment, and/or are experiencing chronic behavior and emotional problems. Individual treatment plans are created for each resident’s specific emotional issues, with the ultimate goal of reunification with the community and/or family. Kindergarten through 12th grade education is also provided through Indianapolis Public Schools.

Your gift will gladden the hearts of children ages 6-11 who find themselves away from home during the holidays. We invite you to take a gift tag off the tree in the narthex, purchase the item suggested, and return to church UNWRAPPED by December 13.

Gift suggestions include:

  1. Blanket throw for a boy or girl
  2. Winter hat & gloves for a boy or girl
  3. Toiletry items: toothbrush, toothpaste, body wash, shampoo
  4. Lego building set or other toy
  5. Coloring/activity/puzzle book with colored pencils

Thank you for helping us support these children!!

Your gifts to the Good Samaritan Fund also help us support Calvary families during the Christmas season. Your giving exemplifies the gift God gave to us in Jesus at Christmas. Thank you!
