Most retail outlets offer discounts once a season or holiday have past. When 90% off is extended one knows that the holiday is over. I enjoy looking through the left-over merchandise for the possibility of either extending the holiday season or saving items for the next year’s celebration. This week Meijer had their 90% off Easter items sale. According to Meijer the only way to rid inventory is to dramatically reduce the selling price. For Meijer and other stores Easter has officially been declared over. This same process is used at Christmas, Halloween, Valentine’s Day and the like. We are all quite aware of the commercial calendars.
Jesus gives to us a 100% sale each and every day. He gives us His love and grace at no cost. His death and Resurrection grants to all eternal life through faith. Our faith is created in our hearts through the power of the Holy Spirit. He invests 100% in us each hour of each day. All is accomplished by our gracious and loving God. This calendar has no season or expiration date. Through this great joy we live out our faith in action. We ask God to empowers us to live as His called children.
