Doors

PART of HIS STORY
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, that you may declare the wonderful deeds of him who called you out of the darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9)

Doors

Have you ever considered the number of doors that you open and close each day? Add to that the number of doorways that you simply pass through to get to another room or location. Doors provide passage to somewhere needed. Car, closet, bathroom, bedroom, office, garage, shed, pantry, store, and classrooms all have doors and this is only a small selection. Some doors require a key for entrance. Yet one thing that all doors have in common is that they provide access. Some doors have a bell or some other device alerting the need for others to gain access as well.

Jesus refers to Himself as the Door. He invites us to knock as we seek Him through the power of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the only Door by which salvation is granted. Today’s society claims to have a variety of doors to open for salvation. Jesus is the only way to the Father. This is the Good News that we teach and profess each day at Calvary Lutheran School. We celebrate that Jesus is eternally open to His people. We rejoice that He is ready to receive us as we call upon Him.

Connecting. Learning. Caring. Serving.
