What are You Waiting For?

SING a LITTLE LOUDER
I will give thanks to you, O LORD, among the peoples; I will sing praises to you among the nations. For your steadfast love is great above the heavens; your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Psalm 108:3–4

What are You Waiting For?
When presented with a task as a child the expectation was that an immediate response would be the answer. I would hear my father’s reminder each Sunday evening that the garbage needed to be collected and taken out. If I did not get up immediately and begin this weekly chore I inevitably heard, “What are you waiting for?” My silent response was to get on with the task at hand and bring it to completion.

When asked what are you waiting for? some may answer with - CHRISTMAS. This time of year that would be an appropriate answer. Advent is a period of waiting. The promised Savior was foretold to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. For hundreds of years people were waiting for this promise to be answered. God fulfilled His promise as Jesus was born on Christmas.
So that question is posed to you- What are you waiting for?

God has charged us to be His witnesses and like the shepherds tell all the GOOD NEWS of our salvation. We are to use His gifts to their fullest each day as we witness His love one to another. We join with the angelic host and sing a little louder the joy that has come to us on Christmas- the Son of God.
