Calvary's Holiday Bazaar
Come one, Come all -- you, your family, friends and neighbors are invited to our 54th Annual event. You can find details at clcs.org/bazaar.
Saturday, November 11 | 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Admission is free. The donation of a canned food item would be welcomed.
A variety of crafty and talented vendors
Holiday wreaths, wood crafts, stocking stuffers, handcrafted clothing are just a few of the vendors exhibiting at the Holiday Bazaar including several Calvary members! Check out the online page for the full list so you can make your shopping list.
So many great items in the silent auction
A complete list of silent auction items is available online at clcs.org/bazaar. Be sure to stop by the cashier's table and pick up your bid number for this year's silent auction. Watch the closing times for each table carefully so you don’t miss out on your treasure!
Don't shop hungry!
The Café will serve breakfast from 8:00 to 10:00 AM. Enjoy homemade cinnamon rolls and more. Lunch is served 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM with brats, soups and more. Kitchen purchases support the El Salvador mission.
Volunteer Opportunities — Earn Service Points
There is a critical need for adult and youth volunteers to work shifts for Friday and Saturday, November 10–11. Strong bodies are needed to help set up on Friday and tear down on Saturday. We will also need people with pick-up trucks at the end of the bazaar to transport unsold Attic items to local donation centers. School students and families can earn service hours! To volunteer please contact Karen Hand or use the bazaar Sign Up Genius, https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0949afae22a5fac52-2023#/.
Note: All volunteers who sign up BEFORE Friday, 11/10/23, can shop the Attic and begin bidding on Silent Auction items beginning at 8am on Saturday (an hour before opening to the general public). Friday night volunteers are also welcome to bid on Silent Auction items.
Make a Donation to the Attic or Country Kitchen
Please bring PRICED Attic donations (no less than 25-cents) to the hall by the school office, Door 4, or baked goodies to the school gym, Door 2, after 3:30 PM on Friday, November 10. Your donation will be a huge help in the Bazaar reaching its fundraising goals.
Support These Worthy Causes
Proceeds from this year’s bazaar will benefit Calvary School classroom security hardware to prevent unauthorized entry during class, replacement of sanctuary carpeting, and support for the Lutheran Child & Family Services Pando Program which offers one-bedroom apartments to serve people ages 18–24, with a special focus on those aging out of the child welfare/foster care system (supportive services included).

- Volunteers: The Holiday Bazaar needs a lot of volunteers. Helpers are needed before, during and after November 11. Time commitments vary and some tasks can be as simple as making phone calls. Sign up in the Narthex or online (click here). https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0949afae22a5fac52-2023#/ Note: All volunteers who sign up BEFORE Friday, 11/10/23, can shop the Attic and begin bidding on Silent Auction items beginning at 8am on Saturday (an hour before opening to the general public). - Attic Donations: We will need used-but still lovable-donations for the Attic. The Attic cannot accept donations of shoes, clothing, building materials, large electronics, or large furniture. Please price your donations for 25 cents or more. You can group smaller items to meet the 25-cent minimum requirement. There is NO space to store attic items at Calvary, so bring your priced donations Friday, November 10 from 3:30–7:00 PM or Saturday, November 11 from 7:30–8:30 AM. If that is not convenient for you, please ask someone to bring them to Calvary for you at these times.
- Silent Auction Donations: There are many options for you to help make this year’s SILENT AUCTION a great success! You can either purchase or ask your favorite business to donate a gift card. (Restaurant and amazon cards have been very good sellers.) You can bring new or like-new items for the Silent Auction to the church office. You can donate a service to be auctioned. You could ask the company you work for to donate items and/or services. Pick up a pink donation form at the Women in Mission table in the South Narthex and return the donation form with your item(s) to the church office. The sooner we get these donations the better. No need to wait until the October 22 deadline.
- Country Kitchen: We will need homemade goods like noodles, brownies, fudge, cookies, candies, breads, cakes, and pies. Deliver your treats to the Gym on Friday, November 10 from 4:30–7:00 PM or Saturday, November 11 from 7:30–8:30 AM.
