The 2026 National Day of Prayer is May 7.
This year is the 75th National Day of Prayer. On this our nation’s 250th anniversary, prayer is as vital as ever! Just as George Washington knelt in prayer before the Battle of Valley Forge, we, too, must be on our knees before our Lord in prayer. As wars rage throughout the world and unrest is around us on every side, our Lord is calling us to prayer! God truly can do marvelous deeds and we play an integral part in seeing those deeds come to fruition as we come before our great God on bended knee.
Calvary offers two options for prayer on the National Day of Prayer, May 7, 2026.
- The school children will host a prayer service during their normal chapel time at 8:15 a.m. in the sanctuary. Any Calvary member or friends are invited to attend.
- You are also encouraged to sign up for a time to pray on the sign-up poster in the narthex. You may come to pray at church or pray from the privacy of your home or work.
Not sure what to pray? We are providing prayer guides for your use that contain prayers for our nation, the church, our government, families, military, and more. Obtain a prayer following the worship services in early May or by the prayer vigil sign-up in the narthex.
