Summary
The Christians in Corinth had some major problems—issues of public and private sin, internal quarreling and infighting, as well as plenty other problems. How can Paul begin his letter to them so positively as he calls them the “sanctified” and holy “saints” of God? We might struggle in ways different than this, but we all have plenty of things hidden away in our lives and hearts from the past or from the present that stain our “holiness.” Paul has a wonderful message of hope for all to hear today. Today we remember that we stand “in Christ alone.”
