Summary
Who is Jesus? It is one of the most important questions we can answer. Some however think that it is a personal choice of who is Jesus “to me,” believing that we can mold and shape him to fit our needs or wants. Matthew 1 proclaims the historical reality of Jesus—both his person and his purpose. Matthew proclaims today that Jesus is “the Son of Mary, our Savior and our Immanuel.”
