Summary
Who will stand up for us against the bullies of this world? Who will save us from the shame, guilt, and blame that push us around? Into a world of power politics and social pressure came the Word of God through John the Baptist, who proclaimed the nearing arrival of the long-awaited Savior. John paved the way so that “all” people” may see the “salvation of God.” We do not need to run in fear, but to run in faith to Christ who gives us the victory.
