Summary
The Emmaus disciples were ordinary disciples living in extraordinary times. They were trying to make sense of everything that had happened in Jerusalem during Holy Week. Jesus met them where they were at and led them to a deeper understanding of himself, his resurrection, and its implications for our lives and world. We too are ordinary disciples living in extraordinary times and Jesus is still right here with us.
