The Fear Within

Category: Calvary Lutheran Church

Keywords: trust, leader, hope, leadership, fear, expectations, transition, afraid

Summary

As we find ourselves poised at this transitional time of the New Year, are we will with optimism or pessimism? Do we expect more of the same problems or do we have hope that things will be different? As Joshua found himself at a moment of great change, he had every reason to be fearful, afraid, and uncertain about his future. Yet, God was the one who was by his side. The Lord comes not with words of dread, but with words of hope and promise. God gives to us this New Year’s the same words of encouragement, as he pledges his presence, even in our greatest moments of fear.
