Mission:

"Growing in love, loving by serving."  All confirmed women and wives of communicant members are members of Women in Mission (WIM) and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) and are encouraged to serve the Lord with gladness at Calvary and throughout the world.  Working together, the women serve God, learn more about Him, and encourage loving friendships as sisters in Christ. 

Activities:

• Ladies’ Saturday Bible Study – Women meet the first Saturday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in Calvary’s EPIC Library
• Extravagant Sharing – Food pantry items are collected every month for the Emmaus Food Pantry
• Holiday Bazaar – Our largest fundraiser is held every November around Veteran’s Day
• Spring Yard Sale – Serves as a community outreach with quality bargains
• Fellowship – Meet the Tuesday following the 2nd Monday of each month to discuss and plan activities for the Calvary community
• Confirmation Banner Support –Supplies are provided for Confirmation banner creation
• Sharing Talents –
  • Sewing comfort quilts for IU Methodist trauma patients
  • El Salvador and India mission quilts
  • Congregational support quilts
  • Knitting and crocheting baby blankets for Life Centers of Indianapolis
• Congregation Support –
  • Spring plant swap
  • Christmas gift bags for homebound members
• Growing Friendships –
  • Pinochle (with snacks) on the 2nd Monday of the month at 5:30 p.m.
  • Ladies’ Pickleball on Saturday mornings at 10:00 a.m. in the gym
  • Annual Christmas luncheon at a nearby restaurant

• Lutheran Hour Ministries
• Lutheran High School

Goals:

• Connect women to and through God’s Word.
• Provide women opportunities to serve the Lord through mission and service projects.
• Support congregational, local, and national mission projects through fundraising.
• Minister to the world with collection of mites for LWML missions.
• Network with women to build relationships and provide opportunities for spiritual and emotional growth and support.
