Calvary Lutheran Church, 6111 Shelby Street, hosted its third annual Touch-A-Truck community event, attracting over 530 people to Indy's southside on Aug. 29th, delivering a truckload of fun and community spirit. Families could explore a wide variety of big wheels, including a fire truck, concrete truck, cargo van, ambulance, Indy 500 race car, moving van, and squad car. In addition to the automobiles, families enjoyed face painting, bounce houses, crafts, games, and complimentary lunch. |

This event was free for all attendees, community and church members. Children were treated to scavenger hunts with goodie bags and yellow "I serve God" construction hats. Kukui's Hawaiian shaved ice was a hit for all the kids looking to stay cool.

Additional community events are scheduled for this fall, such as Family Night on October 17th from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM. The evening will include hot dog roasting, s'mores, games, music, and laughter. On Friday, November 20th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, kids will share their art skills at “Jesus and Canvas.” To learn more about these events and our church worship services, please visit our website at clcs.org.
